The boys were invited to a birthday party at a firestation this weekend. All the kids loved it and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it, too. We were taken on a ride in the firetruck around uptown Charlotte. They also had a 'smoke house' which is a miniature house you can go into and they fill it with theatrical smoke to teach kids how to 'get low and go' if they find themselves in a house on fire. They take this little house around to schools. I thought this was pretty neat, too. It is a little creepy, because you can't see through the smoke and it smells bad. I can see how it would be a good learning tool. Tyler went in and we crawled out together, but we let Jonah skip this drill.
