So Busy Here

Reindeer Tyler

OK, so I've been slack, but in my defense we've been busy and I've been sick. I'm doing better and looking forward to Christmas. I added some pictures and I'll summarize what we've been up to since last post.
Jo Ann and Stephanie flew in for Thanksgiving. We also celebrated Tyler's birthday (ok start the count here....once) and Christmas with them. While they were here we went to a Checkers (Charlotte hockey team) game, which is tons fun. A friend of ours works there and can always get us great seats. Shortly after they left, we went to the mountains with a bunch of families in the neighborhood. We all stayed in this 16 room bunk house and had a blast. We rode horses and played games, watched movies and ate lots of good food. The next day many of us went to a tree farm to cut down Christmas trees. We didn't get a tree, but went to the farm anyways. Once we returned from the mountains, it was Tyler's birthday and we had a very small celebration (2) with cupcakes after dinner. The next day they celebrated his birthday (3) at school, then a couple days later was his party at Chuck E. Cheese's (4). The next week, Steve, aka Grandpa, and Caroline came for a visit. Again, we celebrated Tyler's birthday (5.....can you sense the trouble we're having around here???!!?) and Christmas. It was nice for Steve to visit since he's not ever been able to come and see us since we moved here. Now we are living with a 4 year old who thinks that each person that walks through the door should be bearing a gift for him - YIKES. Between his birthday and the little Christmas celebrations we have already had, we have created a monster (a cute one, but still a monster)!
We are looking forward to the rest of our holiday celebrations and the special visits with friends and family. For those of you that we won't get to see, know we love you and we wish the best for a happy, healthy, love-filled holiday season. Merry Christmas!!
